Up to 100 employees at the University of Saskatchewan will be losing their job in the coming weeks.
The university is sending layoff notices to address its projected $44.5 million deficit.
"Starting this week, we can anticipate up to 100 more positions-and that includes vacant positions-will be eliminated between now and the end of April," said Barb Daigle, associate vice-president of human resources.
The layoffs will affect unionized and non-unionized workers in administration and support positions across campus, according to Daigle.
